Calligraphy Pen
A calligraphy pen is the first tool you would need when you endeavor on a journey to discover the art of writing. Calligraphy you see has in fact been known as an art form that has quite a lot of history behind it. Many people who are interested in this incredibly versatile art form would know that there is quite a degree of cultural impact associated with it. For instance did you know that calligraphy is something that is closely associated with various countries such as Nepal, Tibet, Persia and of course America? Another well known fact is that there are many versions of the calligraphy pen that affect the various types of calligraphy as well.
The ideal type of calligraphy pen that you would ideally enjoy writing with would be the one you are most comfortable using. The typical pen would be either round either flat or round when it comes to the nib. If you do require some form of decoration to be used when you write a multi-nibbed pen could be used. This is also known as “steel brushes”. A real master though would be able to create some art without a calligraphy pen. Yet this would defeat the purpose of actually learning calligraphy.
Furthermore, it should also be noted that the right type of paper needs to be used when one really does get into the art of calligraphy. High quality paper which seems to have a high degree of porosity would be the ideal thing when you use it in conjunction with a calligraphy pen. It is worthwhile also making a note of the ink that needs to be used when indulging in calligraphy. Fact is that water based inks would be optimum which has a low level of viscosity. Choosing the right ink is integral for the longevity of your calligraphy pen.
It could be said that while there is quite a range of choice when it comes to choosing that perfect calligraphy pen, the best advice would be to start off slow and to use a pen that you feel comfortable with. Make a note that calligraphy is quite a different thing when you compare it to writing. Which is why a pen designed for calligraphy is very important. Utilizing a normal ball point pen will just not do. Once you have found that perfect pen, all you really do need is just plenty of practice.
